Operating Procedures of Devils Before and After Calvary

Before Calvary, the devils were very busy.  The Bible explains their characteristics. They have personality and intelligence (Mark 1:23-25), they have ability to make decisions (Mat 12:43; Mat 12:44), have superhuman strength (Mark 5:4), they delight in “vexing” mankind (Luke 6:18; Acts 5:16), they are classified as “wicked” with degrees of wickedness (Matt. 12:45), and have the capability of inhabiting the human body and the bodies of animals (Mark 5:8; Mark 5:13; Luke 8:2).

AFTER CALVARY, they made a major central change
in their operating strategy because the disciples learned the working methods of the devils and were able to cast them out as Jesus did.  And to this day, through Jesus, believers are able to deal with them authoritatively in His name.

What is the major central change in their operating strategy?

DECEPTION!  

They appear as false prophets, as ministers of righteousness, and angels of light. (2 Cor. 11:13-15)   These evil spirits possess men and women and use them as TEACHERS.

Today many are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils by these “spirit” led teachers. (1 Tim. 4:1)

We are warned,

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Tim. 3:17

Peter says,

“Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness.” 2Pe 3:17

“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep.”  2 Peter 2:1-3

Jesus says,

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.” Mat 24:24

Paul says,

 “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2Ti 3:13

“But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,  speaking lies in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience,” 1 Tim. 4:1-2

There is no doubt that the major operating practice of demons today is mainly focused in the area of deception through false converts and misled converts.  Many can quote Scriptures, as Satan did, but distort the word of God by adding their own interpretation and by quoting out of context rather than taking the whole counsel of God into consideration.

Imbalance of Scriptural Truth

There is one way to get a dangerous imbalance of Scriptural truth. How? Simply teach a biblical truth to the exclusion of other biblical truths. What is the cure for this imbalance?

“STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.” 2 Timothy 2:15
